FOOD FOR THE HEART A MELODRAMA OF A MOTHER’S LOVE A short film that shows the relationship between a mother and her beloved son, both of them going great lengths to express their love for each other. We wanted to show the relationship of a mother and her son but also to educate our audience on the actual symptoms of a heart attack, instead of what they usually see on television shows, that it can happen to anyone of any age and the symptoms are not as dramatic as it seems. The plot we’ve gone with keeps the audience on their toes, having to guess who had the heart attack, the mother or the son, but without revealing everything until the end of the film.

LOGLINE 
When Auntie Lee’ son returns from a long trip, their reunion turns bitter when her son’s health issues unexpectedly surface. 
SYNOPSIS 
Auntie Lee, a single mother, has a son who is working overseas. She loves cooking and prepares her own food every day. She expectantly awaits her son’s return daily, but to no avail, until one day when she receives a call from her son, telling her that he is returning. When they finally reunite, what was supposed to be a joyous occasion suddenly turns sour when her son starts exhibiting symptoms of a heart attack. Will Auntie Lee be able to cope with this unexpected disaster? Will her son live?
